Cygnet Folk FestivalFESTIVAL - ANDREA KIRWIN & CLAIRE EVELYNN

IMG_0110.png

I am excited to announce that I will be performing at Woodford Folk Festival with my daughter Charlotte Evelynn accompanying me on harp and crystal bowls.

I will also be performing with Andrea Kirwin as a member of her 13 piece band The Yama-Nui Social Club.

The Woodford Folk Festival is held annually over six days and six nights, from Dec 27th through to January 1st. More than 2,000 local, national and international, artists, musicians and presenters grace the stages of Woodfordia.

The festival begins each year with the iconic Opening Ceremony and closes with the spectacular showcase, on New Year’s Day. This year will be the 37th Woodford Folk Festival and the 30th held at Woodfordia.

It is the largest gathering of artists and musicians in Australia.

The Woodford festival experience is deep, rich and colourful. It is based on a vision of inclusive and creative community, culture and tradition passed through generations, expressed through story and ceremony. The site, a former barren dairy farm, has been lovingly regenerated with over 120,000 subtropical rain forest trees, orchids, ferns and sedges, planted to create a habitat for butterflies and wildlife.

Andrea Kirwin & Claire Evelynn will be coming to the Illawara Folk Festival for the first time in 2025.

Presented by the Illawara Folk Club, the Illawarra Folk Festival originated at Jamberoo in 1985, and has grown to be one of the largest festivals in Australia run entirely by volunteers. Now nestled in the northern Illawarra escarpment at Bulli, the festival presents over 100 performers over 3 jam packed days.

7 - 10 March 2025 - Port Fairy Folk Festival, VIC

Andrea Kirwin & Claire Evelynn will be coming to Port Fairy Folk Festival as their duo for the first time in 2025.

“The Festival story started in December 1977… It was literally on the back of a truck – as a freewheeling cultural freedom ride of sorts. We celebrate our event as an achievement of community, volunteers, music industry, artists and staff along with our passionate audience – inspired by folk & roots music – powered by volunteers. Together we become one amazing festival gathering, singing by the oceans of the south-west coast”. – Jamie McKew OAM, Founding Director.

This year's line up boasts an incredible list of national and international talents with more artists and bands to be announced in the coming months leading up to the 2025 Festival. Book in early and see you at Port Fairy!
